How about going to the shopping center Limbecker Platz, watching a movie in the legendary cinema Lichtburg or visiting the Folkwang Museum or the philharmonic hall? In addition to that the UNESCO world heritage Zollverein, which is a symbol of the structural change in this area and one of the most significant tourist attractions on the „route of industrial culture“ is a highlight too. Another important sight of industrial culture is the Villa Hügel. The former home of the Krupp family is located at the lake Baldeneysee in Essen. It never gets boring in the Ruhr area!
